About the Office

Guidance Office for Counseling, Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (GOCARE) offers a comprehensive guidance program based on the ASCA National Standards which focuses on the needs of all students in three areas of development: academic, career, and personal/social. Guided by the core values of Fortitude, Excellence and Uprightness, the guidance program aims to assist students to acquire life-long learning skills, make rightful decisions, and develop as well as maximize their potential to become successful in their chosen field of endeavor.

Our Mission

Inspired by the FEU core values of fortitude, excellence and uprightness, and guided by the standards in the ASCA Framework, the Mental Health Law, and the Guidance & Counseling Law, GOCARE commits itself to provide and implement a comprehensive guidance program that promotes student success and well-being.

Our Vision

The GOCARE envisions itself to be a dynamic agent in the formation of future-ready individuals equipped with skills, mindsets, and a healthy well-being necessary for their educational and career advancement.

Goals

In view of the aforementioned, GOCARE shall have the following goals:

  • Empower students in becoming a truly successful FEU K-12 graduate
  • Implement standards-based programs & activities in the academic, career, and social-emotional areas of development
  • Promote well-being by raising mental health awareness and providing psychosocial & psychoeducational support to students
  • Ensure counselors meet competencies required in the “helping profession” to better attend the needs of their students.
