Our Mission

The Student Development Office champions the holistic growth of FEU High School students by designing and implementing values-driven programs, student-led initiatives, and opportunities for local and external competitions. Anchored in servant leadership and innovation, the office nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and moral integrity, empowering learners to become socially responsible leaders and future-ready global citizens.

Our Vision

The Student Development Office envisions a community of well-rounded Tamaraws who lead with fortitude, strive for excellence, and live with uprightness, maximizing their full potential through holistic development, experiential learning, and meaningful engagement in both school-based and external opportunities.

Goals

In view of the aforementioned, SDO shall have the following goals:

Design, implement, monitor, and assess student development programs and student-led activities that empower FEU High School students to grow as engaged, values-driven individuals.
Advocate the core values of Fortitude, Excellence, and Uprightness through holistic activities that nurture critical thinking, ingenuity, and the full development of students’ talents and competencies.
Form socially sensitive and morally upright student-leaders by promoting servant leadership in student organization activities, both within the school and in service to the wider community.
Provide opportunities and support for external engagements, such as interschool competitions, conferences, and collaborative events that enhance student exposure, confidence, and excellence beyond the campus.

Student Organizations

SDO oversees the recognition, support, and monitoring of student organizations that promote leadership, advocacy, and talent development.

Membership:

Home Society Membership
1. All students are automatically members of their respective Home Society, which serves as their primary organization for student engagement and support.
2. Home society includes their strand societies, JHS societies, and scholars’ society.
Voluntary Organization Membership
1. Each student may voluntarily join up to two (2) additional organizations beyond their Home Society.
2. Participation in organizations is highly encouraged as part of the school’s commitment to holistic student development.
Leadership Roles and Limits
1. Students may hold only one (1) major position, defined as any of the top five leadership position in one organization.
2. In their second organization, students may still serve as a committee head or member, but not in an executive capacity.

Project NEXUS (Nurturing Excellence and Uprightness of Student-led Organizations)

At FEU High School, Project NEXUS is the official accreditation and registration process for all student organizations, promoting the values of Excellence and Uprightness by ensuring each organization operates with integrity, structure, and purpose. Every academic year, organizations must fulfill all requirements and update their records with the SDO to maintain their active and recognized status, determine eligibility to operate, implement programs, and access institutional support. To ensure accountability and proper representation, only the President or an authorized representative may submit the NEXUS requirements.

Single Accreditation Application
- Student organizations are required to apply for accreditation only once. The accreditation process ensures that the organization meets the standards for recognition and is eligible to operate within the institution.

Re-registration Cycle
- Once accredited, organizations must undergo a re-registration process that may fall under a 1-year or 3-year cycle. The re-registration cycle is determined based on the organization’s performance in the previous academic year and its overall contribution to the school community.
  1. 1-Year Re-registration Cycle
    - Organizations under this category are typically those that are still developing or have demonstrated inconsistent performance. To support their growth, they are closely monitored and evaluated annually based on program execution, engagement levels, and alignment with institutional values. This process provides an opportunity for regular review, allowing organizations to reflect, improve, and gradually strengthen their operations and impact.
  2. 3-Year Re-registration Cycle
    - This level is granted to organizations that consistently meet or exceed expectations based on their year-end evaluation. Eligible organizations must demonstrate strong and consistent engagement, effective management and leadership, and significant contributions through impactful programs. Earning this status reflects a high level of trust and stability, allowing organizations greater autonomy in their operations. In return, they are expected to exhibit long-term planning and sustained development, serving as models of excellence within the student community.

LEAD Training (Leadership Enrichment and Development)

Leadership Enrichment and Development (LEAD) Training is a leadership training program designed to equip student leaders with essential leadership skills, self-awareness, and the ability to foster collaboration, ethical decision-making, and innovative thinking aligned with FEUHS’s VMGO. The program blends foundational leadership theories with practical applications through interactive workshops, team activities, and self-reflection exercises.

Objectives:

To develop foundational leadership skills and competencies among participants, enabling them to effectively lead, influence, and contribute to their respective organizations.
To empower participants to discover and develop their unique leadership styles through self-assessments and reflective exercises, promoting confidence, emotional intelligence, and personal growth in leadership roles.
To provide hands-on training in key leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving to help participants effectively lead, collaborate, and inspire their peers in diverse settings.

SAILS (Student Alternative Integrated Learning Sessions)

Student Alternative Integrated Learning Sessions (SAILS) is a monthly initiative at FEU High School (FEU HS) that complements the academic curriculum with enriching, non-academic experiences aimed at fostering holistic development. Through interactive workshops, experiential activities, cultural sessions, and talks, SAILS provides students with opportunities to explore topics beyond traditional academics. These sessions focus on personal growth, leadership, creativity, social responsibility, and the development of essential life skills, enhancing both their educational and extracurricular experience.

Objectives:

To provide diverse, non-academic learning experiences aligned with FEU High School’s VMGO that support students’ holistic development.
To offer student organizations and stakeholders opportunities to lead interactive and enjoyable sessions that foster experiential learning.
To enhance students’ practical life skills through workshops and activities on leadership, wellness, financial literacy, environmental awareness, and other real-world topics.

Schedule and Duration:

SAILS is held once a month for a full day, with class hours dedicated to allowing students to fully participate. The day is divided into morning and afternoon sessions, each offering a range of workshops, activities, and learning opportunities lasting more than an hour. This structure supports in-depth exploration and hands-on learning.

The monthly format ensures consistent access to enriching, experiential education while balancing academic demands. By engaging in SAILS, students develop life skills, discover new interests, and build connections that enhance their personal and social growth beyond the classroom.

Student organizations and faculty stakeholders lead the implementation of SAILS. All accredited organizations host monthly sessions aligned with their core advocacies, while faculty members contribute by offering specialized workshops. This collaborative approach guarantees a diverse, meaningful, and well-coordinated learning experience.

Camp TamTam

Camp TamTam is designed to nurture the diverse talents of the JHS and SHS students at FEU High School through a combination of performing arts and skill- based training programs. The camp aims to foster creativity, innovation, and personal growth, providing participants with the skills and confidence to excel in their chosen fields.

Objectives:

Offer intensive workshops in performing arts and skills-based fields to help participants build a strong foundation through hands-on learning experiences.
Equip campers with the knowledge, discipline, and confidence needed to excel in future competitions and take on responsibilities in various student organizations.
Emphasize the practical application of learned skills, ensuring participants are ready to face real-world challenges and seize opportunities in their respective fields.

Tamaraw Ignite

Tamaraw Ignite is FEU High School’s annual welcome event designed to embrace new students into the community. It sets the tone for a vibrant school year through fun, connection, and discovery.

Objectives:

Create a warm environment where new students feel connected through interactive activities, group sessions, and shared experiences.
Help students transition smoothly by introducing the campus layout, academic programs, grading system, support services, and learning tools essential for success.
Highlight student organizations through a talent showcase, inspiring students to engage in co-curricular opportunities that enrich their high school journey.

List of Activities:

Salubong – a meaningful welcome event that combines a formal academic convocation, a symbolic welcome ritual, and a showcase of student talents. It sets the tone for a vibrant and unified FEU High School community.
Strand Assemblies – providing orientation on academic tracks, curriculum offerings, grading system, and other academic-related information.
Homeroom Infosession – introducing students to programs under Academic Services and Student Affairs, as well as homeroom expectations, values formation, and student conduct guidelines.
Campus Tour – a guided walk-through of key facilities in the FEU High School and FEU Manila campus to help new students become familiar with their learning environment.
Org Hunt – a dynamic and interactive showcase of FEU High School’s student organizations. It allows new students to explore various organizations through creative booth presentations and engagement activities.

PakiTAMgilas

PakiTAMgilas is an annual intramural event at FEU High School that showcases the diverse talents and skills of students through both sports and non-sports competitions. From athletic events to performing arts and academic contests, it serves as a dynamic platform for Tamaraws to exhibit excellence, creativity, and school spirit across various disciplines.

Objectives:

To strengthen camaraderie, sportsmanship, and school spirit among FEU High School students by providing opportunities for friendly competition that foster physical fitness, teamwork, and meaningful peer connections.
To empower students through leadership, collaboration, and strategic thinking by engaging them in team-based sports and activities that challenge their abilities and develop essential life skills.
To cultivate an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages students to explore their potential, promoting personal growth, discipline, and a strong sense of community and belonging.
