Student Alternative Integrated Learning Sessions (SAILS)

Each month, FEU HS sets aside one day for an activity period called SAILS. This day enables students to enroll in various alternative classes and gain lessons and skills that extend beyond traditional classroom learning. For example, students might choose to participate in cooking classes where they learn culinary skills or engage in art workshops that explore different mediums like painting or sculpture. Other options could include coding sessions that introduce programming basics, public speaking courses to enhance communication abilities, or fitness classes that promote physical health and well-being. These diverse offerings provide students with opportunities to discover new interests and develop practical skills that can benefit them in their personal and professional lives.

Transformative Discipline Program

The Responsible and Informed Student Engagement (RISE) Program is designed for the holistic development of students by integrating essential life skills into their daily learning experiences. At the heart of the program are the key components guided by the school’s core values – Fortitude for the component of Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Excellence for Lifelong Learning, and Uprightness for Civic Competence. These are seamlessly integrated into the Homeroom Program to provide a holistic approach to character education that nurtures responsible, informed, and engaged citizens who are ready to face the complexities of the world with integrity and resilience.
