On February 1, The FEU High School Commission on Elections (COMELEC) proclaimed its new set of Executive Committee members for this academic year 2020-2021. Headed by the Chairperson, Racel Joy C. Galindo, the following are the other newly-hailed members: Manual Antonio D. Salak, Vice Chairperson; Juliene Elaine G. Rodolfo, Commissioner for Secretariat; Peter Lawrence Brigoli, Publication and Communication Committee; Commissioner for Electoral Affair Phoebe Nicole S. Ced; Head of Screening Committee Lyka Angela S. Alarba; and Geoffri O. Flores, Commissioner for Finance and Logistics.
The FEUHS COMELEC has also opened the renewal of political party accreditation. Applicants are required to submit the following requirements: Political Party Profile, Organizational Chart (Structure), Letter of Intent addressed to Ms. Mary Help Paredes, General Plan of Action, and Form 3A—Recommendation Letter. To access the submission portal, they are encouraged to send an email first to the FEUHS COMELEC email account.
Submission of requirements is until February 4, 2021, Thursday, at 10 AM. Results of the accreditation will be announced after the evaluation. Concerns regarding the application may be forwarded to FEUHS COMELEC’s Facebook page and email account.
The campaign period and election for the fresh set of FEUHS Student Government officers for AY 2021-2022 is set to happen before the end of the current academic year. Interested students and the whole voting body have to take note of the possible changes in protocols if the election and campaigns this year will be held fully online for the first time. The FEUHS COMELEC has yet to release a statement regarding this; hence, potential applicants shall await further announcements and updates addressing the details of the upcoming elections.
