Now on its 5th instalment, the Life, Interests, Knowledge, and Experience Talks or simply LIKE Talks once again commenced last January 22, 2021, via MS Teams and Facebook live, as part of the Admissions Program.
To start the program, an introduction video was played to give the FEU-ture Baby Tams a glimpse about Mr. Chris Cantada, a content creator, cosplayer, the former drummer of the Filipino band Sponge Cola, and the guest speaker for the event.
It was then followed by a smooth conversation between FEU High School’s Executive Director, Ms. Stephanie Ann Mutuc, and Mr. Cantada, as they talked about the latter’s humble beginnings. His journey as a content creator and cosplayer was also highlighted in the webinar, as they talked about his interviews with Mr. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and the cast of Stranger Things to name a few.
Mr. Cantada also gave some tips on how to attract audiences and make videos more engaging. According to him, the duration of the video is a big factor that aspiring content creators must know in order to grab the attention of their potential viewers. Also, he said that it is better to talk about the things that you like rather than faking it.
He also gave empowering words to conclude the session. For his final remark, he shared that he firmly believed that those students who are torn between their studies and their passion “…will find a way.”
To finally end the 5th LIKE Talks, a certificate of appreciation was given to Mr. Cantada and it was announced that the topic for the 6th part of LIKE Talks entitled “Sportsmaship: A Tool to be a Successful Player” will be held on January 29, 2021, at the same time and platform.
