In line with the upcoming Fire Prevention Month, FEU Manila and FEU High School conducted a fire and earthquake drill, today, February 23, as part of their disaster risk reduction management (DRRM) plan.
In line with the upcoming Fire Prevention Month, FEU Manila and FEU High School conducted a fire and earthquake drill, today, February 23, as part of their disaster risk reduction management (DRRM) plan.
At 8:30 AM, faculty and staff informed the students to duck down the floor, take cover under the desk, and hold until the shaking stop. Students immediately proceeded to the designated open area to avoid the dangers of falling debris during the simulation. These procedures reminded students to for an open area in case of an earthquake.
Marvie Vasquez, a Grade 12 STEM student, religiously followed the instructions during the drill.
It is important to remain calm and learn (from the facilitators) the procedures to avoid mistakes in case of an earthquake or fire.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) conducted a fire and safety demonstration to teach faculty, staff, and students to respond and put out fires.
The fire and earthquake drill are to ensure that faculty, staff, and students are properly guided on what should be done in case of an earthquake or occurrences of fire in schools.
