FEU High School inaugurates its first International Work Immersion Program, offering Grade 12 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students the opportunity to participate in an immersive experience at HungKuang University (HKU) in Taichung, Taiwan from July 23 to 29.
This five-day program will immerse students in science and technology areas such as computer-aided 3D modeling, flying air drones, virtual reality experience, safety measures, and environmental engineering. Moreover, the program encompasses cultural exploration to various educational destinations such as the National Science Museum, Taichung National Theater, Gaomei Wetland, along with Mandarin lessons.
“This program (HungKuang University) not only exposes our students to advanced, state-of-the-art learning of science and technology but also empowers them to make significant contributions towards the progress of our country. FEU High School remains steadfast in preparing students for both college and work,”
STEM Coordinator Mr. Bryan Cabuenas said.
The Work Immersion Program is one of the course requirements for graduation by the Department of Education (DepEd). Students are able to profoundly appreciate and apply the theories and principles taught in school, enhance their interpersonal skills, enrich their knowledge and expertise, and foster positive attitudes, work habits, and respect for the workplace.
HKU is a leading academic institution at the forefront of producing nursing leaders and driving the application of artificial intelligence in Taiwan’s rapidly growing emerging industries. It is also the first university of science and technology who was awarded the National Sustainable Development Prize in the Education Sustainable Development Category1.
International Work Immersion for Humanities and Social Sciences strand (HUMSS) in Vietnam is in progress.
