Despite the difficulties, April still looks back at her years spent in FEU HS with endearing fondness. The bonds she formed with her classmates over homeroom, the challenging yet fulfilling training she received for the FEU HSSG elections, the simple lunch breaks she would spend with her friends at their favorite bench in campus: These are just some of the memories and experiences she will cherish and keep close to her heart as she strides into the uncertain yet bright future.

“An unforgettable, extraordinary, and suspenseful experience!”

These words resonated in April Grace Hugo’s mind when asked what she thought about her experience in FEU High School. As graduation draws near, she recalls her FEU journey from the time she entered as a senior high student.

April remembers the heart-warming welcoming event that FEU HS performed for all the incoming juniors. “Hearing the school’s chant gave me chills and made me think that I am destined to be a Baby Tamaraw and I belong to the diverse green and gold community.”

This is something she did not expect to happen, as she initially aimed to keep a low profile throughout High School. However, the various activities showcasing the Tamaraw spirit eventually got her on-board to getting involved with organizations, clubs, and even contests outside the institution.

Indeed, it was not all fun and games for April. Like any other students, she experienced struggles and turbulent times particularly when pandemic happened and FEU HS transitioned to online learning.

“The most challenging experience at FEU HS would have to be adjusting to the new normal setup. Because when classes started, I have experienced a lot of burnouts and break downs.”

Embodying the braveness of an FEU HS Baby Tamaraw, she knew she has to endure and stride without fail. April shares what she did to get through such a difficult moment in her life.

“I have overcome them when I decided to have a week off for myself and rethink everything and the reasons behind why I still continued to study during the pandemic [sic]”. April also mentioned how FEU HS makes it easier for students to cope with the transition through reduced tuition rates and easy-to-use online interfaces.

As April moves forward, she will always carry the greatest value FEU HS has imparted her:

“[I will] always be brave in any circumstances that I [may] encounter by facing it with the institution’s core values – fortitude, excellence, and uprightness.”
