Thank you for the generosity of giving scholarship grants to students like me and for the opportunities to learn more. I believe that as I continue my SHS journey; you will mold me to become a better person.”

Dece has always loved mathematics and science since she was a child. Even then, she joined math clubs, camps, and competitions. These led her to earn recognition and appreciation from her high school teachers when she spearheaded her school’s Math Camp offering a venue for her fellow students to enjoy math the way she does. This was an idea she brought to life because of her desire to replace the fear of math and inspire an appreciation of the subject. 

Not only did she excel in her academics, she was also an active member in her community and participated in activities such as Paskotitap, a tourism project in Pasig City. 

FEU High School was one of the few schools where Dece wanted to study. She dreams of becoming a Medical Technologist. FEU is her top choice for college because of the high passing rate of the university in the national licensure examination for Medical Technologists. 

Dece’s family is among the Filipino families who were badly impacted by the global pandemic. The changing quarantine restrictions affected their family’s only source of income. Her father is a single parent and only managed to sustain their expenses with the help of their food business. Now, their family business is barely surviving with the ban on dine-in customers. Through the FEU High School (FEU HS) Academic Achievement (AA) Gold Scholarship, Dece’s father found the help he needed to continue to support his children’s education. 

Now that she is studying in her dream school, Dece is more than excited to learn, live, and experience FEU HS. She hopes that the pandemic will end soon so she and her classmates can experience the campus life.
