“Hi FEU HS! Thank you for the opportunity you gave. I kept my hopes up that you will grant me a scholarship. I am truly grateful for the help, so I don’t need to worry about the finances to support my education. At this young age, I was able to help my parents through this scholarship and all of my efforts and sacrifices during JHS paid off.”

“The AA Gold Scholarship has been a huge help to my family. We will be able to save money for my college tuition and expenses”, said James Oliveros, a freshman STEM student and recipient of the FEU High School Academic Achievement (AA) Gold Scholarship.

James strove hard in his academics during Junior High School so he could qualify for the scholarships to lessen his family’s financial burden. FEU HS is also his dream school. That is why he promised himself that he will do his best to make his parents proud and make his dream a reality. He has been a consistent honor student since kindergarten and graduated as the top student in Junior High.

Aside from being an academic achiever, James was also an active student leader, journalist, and community member. He participated in relief operations, tree planting, and ocean cleanup drives in his beloved hometown, Alabat Island in the Quezon province. His love for community service and learning opportunities also made him want to study in FEU High. Aside from the influence of his seniors and mentors to choose FEU High, he also believes that FEU High offers quality education and learning opportunities within and beyond the classroom. He aims to hone his talents and skills which he believes only FEU HS could help him achieve.  His goal is to become a radio technologist or a licensed pharmacist in the future.

The FEU HS AA Gold Scholarship gave him the chance to make his parents proud. He is looking forward to building connections and sharing his passion and advocacies to his fellow classmates, teachers, and the whole school community. During the first few months of his 1st semester in FEU HS, he was very happy to learn the value of time management and creativity in managing his time without compromising the quality of his work.
