Despite what people may say, audio entertainment is still in – especially nowadays with new trends coming up left and right. Aside from music, ASMRs and Podcasts have become noticeable in recent years as it happens to pique the audience’s interests.

Last January 25, the Student Affairs Office launched the pilot episode of the Podcast Series: Tam Talk. Under the SAO, the official FEU High School organizations have been given the opportunity to share more about the nature of their organization, their activities, and even tug on the interests of students who would be tuning in on the program.

Students were able to listen to the FEU High School Student Government President Mickah Claron, Vice President Jan Harold Catu, and Senator for Extensions Program Sofia Lucinario during the first episode of the podcast entitled “The Art of Thinking Clearly: Growth of Student Leaders During the Pandemic.” They talked about their experiences and the wisdom and knowledge they gained as student leaders in the online set-up in the midst of a pandemic.

Premiering on Thursday of the same week, the second episode was hosted by Grade 11 students Rex Cabingan and Clark Raoet of the FEU High School Music Society. Cabingan and Raoet talked about “Passion and Education: Passion is who you are, Education is what you’ll become.”

Most people prefer podcasts due to their playful and entertaining way of doing talk shows. In this light, select officers and members of each organization are given the opportunity and the platform to relate with the students and talk about their topics with no holds barred.

Given its accessibility, people may choose from various topics from as simple as entertainment talk shows to reflective podcasts, and people may tune in at any time and do other activities at the same time. This podcast series aim to do just that – provide a range of topics and genres that students of FEU High School would be able to relate with and listen to at anytime, anywhere.

The Podcast Series: Tam Talk releases episodes every Monday and Thursday at 8 am via the Student Affairs Office Canvas Course. The next episode entitled, “Finding A Purpose: The Importance of being Resilient” will be made available on February 1. It will be hosted by Margerie Yu and Jamaica Solabo of the Junior Peers Organization.
