Select Baby Tamaraws bagged awards in the recently concluded Battle of the Bands and Group Dance Competition held on February 11, 2021, via a live event through the FEU Central Student Organization’s Facebook page, as part of this year’s celebration of the 93rd foundation day of Far Eastern University-Manila.
Despite being the youngest contenders, the FEU High School Music Society gave their best as they competed in the annual inter-institute singing competition Battle of the Bands and won 2nd Runner Up.
Moreover, the dance group of FEU High School with members from the FEU High School Sarimanok Dance Troupe and FEU Dance League – AdHoc participated in the Group Dance Competition. The crew bravely showcased their dancing prowess and bagged the 1st Runner Up award.
Meanwhile, the IABF Powerband and IAS Sessionistas received congratulatory messages as they acquired 2nd and 1st places in the Battle of the Bands, respectively. On the other hand, ITHM Groovers concluded the Group Dance Competition as the champion while the IABF Dance Troupe landed at 3rd.
In line with these victories, the FEU High School student community should also be given recognition since audience impact was part of the criteria occupying 10% of the total score, done through commenting and posting their institute’s respective hashtags. Due to this, #FEUSayawit2021 went up to the Philippine top trends on Twitter and eventually became the topmost trend. Along with this, #BabyTamaRAWR made it to the trends as well, placing 4th, the hashtag’s highest peak.
The said annual inter-institute competitions were participated by the FEU High School and the different institutes making up FEU Manila.
